  1. I clicked on the blog post because of “Serial Killer” in the title, but I do have a question that reminds me of And We Stay’s repeated, sometimes annoying references to Emily Dickinson: Is there always a justification to invoke an image of Marie Antoinette when it’s called for, or is it never-ending and “purple prosey” after a while?

    1. Serial Killer is what made me buy the book last spring! The main character is in Paris and touring famous sites. It didn’t feel forced for Marie to be in these places at all.

  2. I had not heard of this one! Did you need any prior-knowledge of Marie Antoinette to really appreciate the story?

    1. I don’t have any and LOVED it! The main character tells you a bit of her history. All 3 of us in my book club did end up googling images of Marie & Versailles, but imagery in the book is also great!
