Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted over at Pen to Paper. This meme is where you showcase one book that is on your wishlist and that you can’t wait to get off your wishlist and into your hands.
Welcome to my new weekly meme: Wishlist Wednesday! This is a blog hop to share something that I am very excited to read…but haven’t read yet!
This week…The Island of Dr. Libris, by Chris Grabenstein.
New from the author of Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library and coauthor of the I Funny series with James Patterson! Celebrate the power of imagination with this action-packed New York Times bestseller that shows that sometimes the real story starts after you close the book!
What if your favorite characters came to life? Billy’s spending the summer in a lakeside cabin that belongs to the mysterious Dr. Libris. But something strange is going on. Besides the security cameras everywhere, there’s Dr. Libris’s private bookcase. Whenever Billy opens the books inside, he can hear sounds coming from the island in the middle of the lake. The clash of swords. The twang of arrows. Sometimes he can even feel the ground shaking. It’s almost as if the stories he’s reading are coming to life! But that’s impossible . . . isn’t it? This book is the sequel to one of my favorite Book Fair finds from the spring. In Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library, a group of kids must escape from a library scavenger hunt game. This installment promises to include the clues, tricks, and scavenger hunts of the first book. I had SUCH fun reading Mr. Lemoncello’s Library that I can not wait to read the next one!
I hope that I can restrain myself from the book fair this year…..
